Safety & suitability
Please read this before your first red light or PEMF session. We'll also go through it with you in a short questionnaire.
Please check with your GP first if you
- are pregnant
- take medication that can increase light sensitivity (for example some antibiotics, retinoids or St John's Wort: ask your pharmacist)
- have epilepsy or are sensitive to light
- have a skin condition, or have had a recent cosmetic or medical procedure
- have a history of skin cancer
- have a pacemaker, other implanted electronic device or metal implants (especially for PEMF)
Under-18s: not without medical advice, and not in clinic without a parent or guardian and a GP note.
Eyes
We provide goggles for every light session. Never look directly into the LEDs.
Heat and skin
The light is low-heat, but tell us at once if you feel too warm or notice any skin reaction, and we'll stop the session.
When to stop
Stop and speak to your GP if you have any unexpected reaction. A light session is not a substitute for medical care or for sun protection (SPF).
Your questionnaire
Your answers are special-category health data. We store them securely and use them only to check suitability (see our Privacy Policy).
