Frequently asked questions
General questions
What is a Spooky2 biofeedback scan?
A Spooky2 biofeedback scan is a software process, using a small saliva sample, that we use to help select frequency programmes for your sessions. It doesn't measure your health, it is not a medical test and it doesn't diagnose any condition.
Do frequency sessions hurt?
No. Most people find them relaxing. Contact sessions use soft pads or hand-held electrodes and may cause a mild tingle; plasma and scalar sessions don't touch you at all.
Can frequency sessions replace my medication or medical care?
No. Our sessions are complementary. Please keep taking prescribed medication and follow your GP's advice.
Who shouldn't have a session?
Please talk to us first if you're pregnant, have a pacemaker or other implanted electronic device, have epilepsy, or have a medical condition. Some sessions won't be suitable.
How long are sessions?
Biofeedback scans, scalar sessions and 1:1 non-dual sessions are 1 hour. Need longer? Extensions can be arranged, or booked as extra time. Other sessions are 30 or 60 minutes, as shown on each page.
How do remote programmes work?
You send us a clean fingernail clipping. We place it in our Spooky2 Remote unit and run your agreed programme from the clinic for the period you've booked.
What happens to my sample?
We label it securely, keep it only for your programme and dispose of it confidentially afterwards. See our Privacy Policy.
How long is a red light or PEMF session?
You book a 30-minute slot; the equipment switches off 5 minutes before the end.
Do you work with animals?
Yes, privately with owners and under the direction of vet practices. We ask for your vet's agreement before we work with any animal. Our animal sessions are not veterinary care.
What's your cancellation policy?
Cancel or reschedule free of charge. There's no fee for late cancellations or missed appointments; we just ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you can, so we can offer the time to someone else. If you booked online, by phone or by email, you also have a 14-day right to cancel. See our cancellation policy.
Do your prices include VAT?
The Frequency Hub Ltd is not VAT registered, so no VAT is added. The price you see is the price you pay.
Can I use a gift card on anything?
Gift cards aren't on sale yet. Before they are, we'll publish full terms, including what they can be used on and how long they last.
Do you offer Spooky2 technical support if I didn't buy from you?
Yes. Book a 30- or 60-minute session by Zoom screen-share or phone.
Is there a client portal?
Yes. Clients can log in to see bookings, programmes, scan summaries and notes.
Red light & PEMF
What is red light therapy and how does a session feel?
It's a session under low-level red and near-infrared LED light. Most people describe it as calm and gently warm.
What's the difference between red and near-infrared light?
Red light is visible (around 620–680 nm). Near-infrared (around 800–1,100 nm) is just beyond what the eye can see. Our bed uses red and near-infrared LEDs, including 850 nm and 1060 nm.
Is it the same as an infrared sauna or a sunbed?
No. The bed uses red and near-infrared LEDs, including 850 nm and 1060 nm, and gives only minimal heat compared with a sauna.
How long is a session at the Harlow clinic, and what should I wear?
You book a 30-minute slot with about 20 minutes of light; the bed switches off 5 minutes before the end. You can undress to your comfort level in a private room.
Do I need to wear goggles?
Yes. We provide goggles. Never look directly into the LEDs.
Who should check with their GP first?
Anyone who is pregnant, takes medication that increases light sensitivity (some antibiotics, retinoids, St John's Wort: ask your pharmacist), has epilepsy or light sensitivity, a skin condition, a recent procedure, or a history of skin cancer.
